Business leaders in Pakistan are hearing more about AI across customer service, finance, operations, sales, and knowledge work. Before choosing tools or launching pilots, it helps to understand what the organization wants to improve and what capabilities, controls, and information it already has.

What the NewMetrics assessment says it does

The NewMetrics AI readiness assessment describes itself as a self-reported diagnostic covering six dimensions. Its page describes six quick company-profile questions, three to four questions in each section, and an instant score with a roadmap. NewMetrics states that its results are based solely on the information provided and are not an audit, certification, or independent verification.

Use it as a conversation starter, not a verdict.

A questionnaire reflects the answers entered and the framework chosen by its provider. Its score does not independently validate data quality, security controls, legal compliance, staff capability, or expected business outcomes.

Questions for a corporate AI-readiness discussion

Whatever assessment a business uses, leaders can make the discussion more actionable by asking teams to consider questions such as:

  • Which business problem are we trying to solve, and how will we measure a meaningful improvement?
  • What information would an AI system use, who is permitted to access it, and how will sensitive data be protected?
  • Who will review outputs, handle errors, and remain accountable for decisions that affect customers or staff?
  • How will the organization test quality, monitor performance, and respond if the system behaves unexpectedly?
  • What skills, process changes, integrations, and ongoing costs would be needed to operate a pilot?

These are practical prompts for internal planning, not a formal standard or a substitute for advice specific to your organization, industry, or legal obligations.

Protect company information before using an online tool

Before entering information into any external assessment, review the provider's privacy policy and terms. Check what information is requested, how it may be stored or used, whether it is shared, and whether it can be deleted. Do not submit confidential, personal, regulated, or commercially sensitive information unless your organization has approved the tool and its data handling.

Turn a score into a proportionate next step

Treat a result as a hypothesis to validate. Compare it with input from the people who own the relevant processes, data, technology, risk, and customer outcomes. Select a narrowly scoped use case, define safeguards and success measures, and test it with appropriate human oversight before considering wider deployment.

An external assessment may be a useful pointer for that conversation. It should not replace internal review, independent evaluation where needed, or a careful assessment of the specific AI system and use case.
